Cape Coral Isshinryu Karate Academy first opened its doors to students way back in 1991. Since then we have seen many children and adults come and go and we have made many friends. Today I am proud to say that some of my current black-belt instructors, who you will meet below, first came to me as eager and inexperienced children with the will to succeed and reach their karate goals. With commitment, patience and perseverance not only did they become black-belts in the art but they have continued to study with me and have gained their second, third and fourth degree qualifications.

I am well known in the area as being an instructor who is committed to giving my students the best training possible. I demand that all my students give the best they possibly can, nothing more and nothing less! This can sometimes be construed as being tough, especially with the younger children, however it is this toughness that brings out the best in my students - both mentally and physically.

All of our students are expected to EARN each obi (karate belt) that they wear around their gi (karate uniform) and wear it with the pride of knowing that it was their own hard work and sweat that has taken them to the level they are at today.

We look forward to seeing you in class soon, and... remember, it's a long journey to the top, but it's worth every step. Are you ready for the climb?
